What is Lip Enhancement?

Restylane Lip Volume provides improved lip fullness to the body of the lips. Volume loss of the lips occurs naturally with time, and replacing this volume can result in more youthful looking lips. Here at Elements we will be able to advise you on the appropriate treatment for the aesthetic outcome you are looking for.

Procedure

Before having the treatment an anaesthetic is injected to numb the lips prior to lip enhancement and areas such as the vermillion border, the philtrum, cupids bow, and lip body can be enhanced. There may be some swelling and bruising after lip enhancement.

Background Information

Restylane lip products, like all other Restylane products are based on stabilised hyaluronic acid of non-animal origin and manufactured using our patented technology called NASHA. This produces a filler gel that many believe is one of the most effective and advanced in the world.

With 15 years of research and millions of treatments performed worldwide since 1996, Restylane products have well-documented safety and effectiveness. And perhaps above all - they give results you can truly see and feel, yet always in a natural way. Restylane lip products also contain lidocaine to ease discomfort during treatment.

Q: Will lip enhancement improve the vertical lines in my lips?

A: Any volume that is added to the lip will tend to improve lines near the vermilion border (the border between the red and white skin of the lip). In fact, Juvederm and Restylane are often injected specifically along this border to reduce lip lines.

Q: What is recovery like after Lip Enhancement?

A: Downtime after cosmetic procedures is usually a few hours to a day, depending on the specific procedure and areas treated. Office procedures are performed under local anesthesia, if any anesthesia is required. Most patients do not require any time off from work, and may even return to work on the same day

Q: How long is the procedure?

A: Lip augmentation treatments are relatively quick cosmetic procedures. The length of treatment may range from 15 minutes to an hour.

Q: Will I need time off work after Lip Enhancement?

A: Most patients do not require any time off from work, and may even return to work on the same day. A longer period of recovery may be necessary for combined procedures.
