How many treatments will it take to see the best result?
Depending on the degree of damage to your skin and desired results, most patients require 3 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart. This is because only a small amount of skin is 'ablated' with each treatment. However, you will notice an improvement after just 1 single session.
What does the treatment involve?
A consultation is required prior to the treatment in order to assess your suitability and to discuss the procedure at length. During this appointment you will be given a prescription for antivirals and antibiotics, as well as a patient information leaflet and pre-treatment instructions. On the day of the treatment, you will arrive 2 hours earlier than the treatment time in order to have a topical numbing cream applied to the treatment area to help reduce any discomfort. After 2 hours the cream will be removed and the skin washed and disinfected. Protective eye goggles will be worn throughout the procedure.
What can I expect after the treatment?
You will be given strict after-care instructions which must be followed during the healing process.
If you have always desired to rejuvenate your skin but have had fears of traditional laser resurfacing, you should consider this laser treatment. The results surpass any other laser technology on the market and blow away commonly known treatments like microdermabrasion and skin peels.
